Will Alcohol Has Any Side Effects On The Stitches Due To Maxillary Osteotomy?

I had a bimaxillary osteotomy at the end of November, and I was given dissolvable stitches which are still in place. Would alcohol have any effect at all on the stitches & is there any recommendations against it? Oh and happy new year (for when it arrives)
