Will Allergy Drops Suffice For Stinging Sensation And Discomfort In Eyes?

I am looking for an opthamologist near Laguna Niguel that takes Avesis Insurance. I just moved here and I have been having constant problems with my left eye having to go to urgent care three times for three different infections in it. The last time my eye was just bright red, but no puss or anything. My left eye always feels uncomfortable and sting. My last optometrist said to put allergy drops in my eyes every morning and I am doing that, but my left eye still feels uncomfortable and I have old antibiotics that I will sometimes put in my eye to ease the uncomfortability. I need to figure out what is going on with this eye as the right one doesn't bother me

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having chronic stinging sensation in the eyes.
This can be because of chronic conjunctivitis or allergic conditions. The treatment is by using antiallergic eye drops.
Since allergic conditions tend to run a long course treatment is usually required for long time.
If on using the eye drops also there is no response you need to consider other causes like dry eye which require artificial tears, chronic conjunctivitis which require antibiotics eye drops and simple hyperemia which requires decongestants.

Thank you
