Will An Umbilicus Area Indentation With A Lump Heal By Itself?

I have a small indentation above my belly button. If I touch it , only sometimes can I feel a small bump inside. It is painless. My doctor said it was a very very minor hernia from lifting too heavy of weights and not breathing properly. Could this fix itself ?
