Will Blood In Front Of Retina After Surgery Clear Eventually?

I had laser surgery for a retinal tear. I know have blurring and red floaters. Cannot see out of the eye. Surgeon said there is blood in front of the retina causing this and it will eventually clear up. It is very debilitating. Should I seek another opinion. Another doctor in his office confirmed his diagnosis. Is this normal or a bad outcome?
