Will Burn Mark On Face Disappear With Time Or Should Apply Any Cream?

My 38 year old wife had a burn stain on face 3 days ago while frying Vada. Suddenly one Vada got burst & some hot oil drops splashed on her face at that time we applied water and Silverex Cream now. Some black spot on the face is now visible. Will it disappear with time or should she use any cream for it ?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

She seems to have developed post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after burn/scald.

If I was the treating doctor I would have advised her to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone cream , twice daily for 2-3 weeks to fade away the hyperpigmentation

It is specially important to wear a broad spectrum sunscreen throughout the day to protect it from the sun, which can worsen hyperpigmentation.

regards
