Will Chikungunya Effect The Vision?

MY UNCLE HAD SUFFERED FROM CHIKUNGUNYA THREE MONTHS AGO, HE RECOVERED FROM FEVER BUT HIS EYESIGHT IS DETERIORATING, HE IS A DIABETIC PATIENT AND HAD TAKEN TREATMENTS BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS; HE IS 55 YEARS OLD; IS THERE ANY TREATMENT FOR HIS SYMPTOM?

Hello
Chikangunya fever will not affect eye and cause visual impairment.
But since he is a diabetic patient, diabetes will affect the eyes and cause visual impairment.
The common causes for visual impairment in diabetics are cataract, diabetic retinopathy, refractive errors induced by uncontrolled or fluctuating diabetes.
Hence this requires evaluation by a ophthalmologist to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.
