Will Cosmolite Cream Cure Light Black Patch Below Eyelid?

my ancestors were looked having a skin problem on the face below the eye-lid up to cheek like light black patch and I am also realizing the same, kindly suggest some cream or else. My one friend has advised for cosmolite cream, will this cure my problem. Please suggest...S.K.

Hi there.
I read your query with interest.
From your history, it appears there is a very strong hereditary predisposition to this patterned pigmentation.
I do believe the condition you ail from is termed 'melasma'.
If the pigmentation is epidermal (or in the top layers of skin), you have a good chance of lightening with creams. If dermal as is most often the case, then the chances of cosmolite or any cream working are slim.
Please do go across to a dermatologist near you & get an assessment. If in Bangalore, you are most welcome for a free assessment @ Vikram Hospital or Sita Bhateja Speciality Hospital.
It may require a multi-pronged treatment with peels & creams depending on your particular case & budget et al.
