Will Dark Patch On Heart In Baby S Scan Indicate Any Problem?

HI i am sandesh here, my wife is 8 months pregnant now and when we went for the scan at fifth month, they found a small dark patch on the heart of the baby. Its still remaining in the recent scan also. Doctor told not to worry, which will be there in many cases. He also said that all other things are normal. Since it is the first baby, my wife is worried. Please tell me weather it creates any proble.

Hello sir and welcome.

From my personal experience, I have known at least 4 such cases where there was a dark patch seen in the region of the heart on an ultrasound visit, and the babies turned out to be completely normal and fine. So trust your doctor and stay calm, everything will turn out to be just fine.
