Will Getting Periods After Draining Bartholin's Cyst Cause Irritation?

Hi, About 12 days ago i had a bartholin cyst drained and was wondering about my menstrual cycle. Will it cause any irritation or infection if get it this soon from recovery? I am on the birth control pill so I would be able to skip it if i needed to.
