Will Hearing Return After Being Slapped?

I was slapped directly on the left ear around 10 this morning. Immediately after, sound has left my ear but not completely.. Sounds are muffled a very noticeably amount. I had perfect hearing before this incident. My question is will my hearing go back to normal? How soon?

Thank you for asking!
Slapping is a barotrauma and may result in hearing disabilities up to rupture of ear drums / tympanic membranes.. I recommend a visit to an otorhinolaryngologist for further assessment.
Take care
