Will I Get Normal Alcohol Blood Test Result Inspite Of Stopping Alcohol Consumption?

Hello Doctor, I have to do an alcohol blood test in 4 weeks from today for immigration purposes. I did a pre-test yesterday and my results are as follow: GGT = 72; AST = 29; ALT = 54. Will these measures go back to normal within 4 weeks without any alcohol consumption? thanks

Yes, it is very likely to go back to normal. The GGT is about 50% above normal and is the most sensitive and long lasting of the liver enzymes. But 4 weeks is a long time. I would not take any alcohol during the 4 week period.
