Will Intake Of Tirosint Cause Any Harmful Side Effects To The Body?

Hello, I just started using Tirosint about 20 days ago, what do you think of this drug? I had a hyper thyroid and about 14 years ago I had to take the radioactive iodine pill to kill it. I was taking nature thyroid 3 grains just before that procedure. Wondering also about side effects.

Hi,

Tirosint is a unique soft gel capsule of levothyroxine and it contains only 4 ingredients: levothyroxine, gelatin, glycerin, and water.

It is a replacement for a hormone normally produced by your thyroid gland to regulate the body's energy and metabolism.

Common side effects may include muscle weakness, headache, leg cramps, nervousness, trouble sleeping, diarrhea, skin rash or partial hair loss.

Take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. Seek medical attention promptly if you experience any of the side effects continuously and becomes bothersome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
