Will It Be Revealed In The Hormone Test If Have Been Smoking Marijuana?
My girlfriend is going to get a hormone test in order to get birth control. We were wondering if marijuana will affect and/or show up on a drug test. We want to make sure every test is as accurate as possible and thus are worried it could effect the test and she not receive the best birth control prescribed for her. Thanks

A hormone test done before getting birth control medication will not reveal if the person has been taking any drugs like marijuana. However, if a drug screening test is done specifically, then this can detect recent drug intake.
There are different types of drug screening tests - the most common is urine testing, but blood testing and hair follicle testing are also used sometimes. The chances of these tests detecting marijuana intake depends on the type of test and how recently the drug was used.
