Will Medicines For Stomach Bacteria And Gas Affect Baby During Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor I was suffering with gas before I was pregnant ......my doctor told me I have a bacteria in my stomach.....he gave me antibiotic and other medication for the gas, however none of the meds never work. Now am 17 weeks pregnant and am in lots of gas pain. it traveling thought all my body ......I was wondering if it can affect the baby. there are nothing i could eat that will not cause pain and bloated.....I cannot work due to low back pain.. can you please tell me what I can do....thank you

Hi.

No it will not effect your baby in any possible way. Unfortunately almost all women suffer from gas problems during pregnancy and the only thing you can really do is to use mild antacids, walk and stay mobile and drink plenty of water.
