Will Medroxyprogesterone Help Stop Bleeding?

I am Thirty years old and I weight around 189 Lbs. I have my cycle for a month and half and I went to the E.R and they gave me medroxyprogesterone to stop the bleeding. This is my third day and the bleeding has not stopped. How long does this pill take to work?
I also have depresstion, ADD and Migrians. Also I take Adipex.
