Will Murmur Heart Cause Pain In Chest?

Thank you. My 15 year old grandson had heart pains yesterday at school, and my daughter took him to the doctor. They did an EKG and chest xray..said he has a heart murmur, doesn't have an enlarged heart and he will be seeing a pediatric cardiologist asap. Would a murmur cause pain? The murmur can be innocent (it means without any cause) or predictor of a underlying congenital heart disease, though it may be benign.
The best here is to get a good 2 d echo to be done to detect anything and if normal just forget about the murmur.
