Will My Child Run The Risk Of Getting Cholesterol ?

I am a 28 year old female. My Cholesterol levels are as below: Total LDL Direct: 270mg/dL Total HDL Direct: 55mg/dL Sum Total Cholesterol: 359 mg/dL Triglycerides Direct: 213 Lp (a) Cholesterol: 17.0 mg/dL Real LDL-C: 237mg/dL HDL-2 :14 mg/dL VLDL-3 : 17 mg/dL I also am prediabetic. Total Bilirubin is 1.5 mg/dL. My Carotid Intima Media Thickness test (IMT) results shows Mean Common Carotid Medial Thickness of 0.47 mm and Thickest IMT Measurement of 0.54mm (above average to moderate cardivascular risk category). My father has a total cholesterol level of 298. I am planning for a baby. Is it advisable to have a baby now and then have medication or would it be advisable to go for medication 1st? If I conceive with such high levels of cholesterol, will my child run the risk of getting cholesterol? Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Your child will anyway be at risk of having cholesterol problem since it runs in your family. You have to get your cholesterol levels controlled first and then plan pregnancy to avoid complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Controll it wil medications and also maintain a diet for yourself.
