Will Not Cleaning Dog Bite Area For Hours Even After Taking TT And Rabies Injection Cause Infection ?
Hi Doctor, A street dog had bitten me @ early morning 4 am while coming from office on two wheeler. I immediately went to a nearby hospital. The nurse applied an ointment on the wound without even washing/cleaning the area. I took a TT injection and rabies vaccination (0, 3, 7, 14 & 28). I washed the area only @ 11 am as I slept immediately after reaching home. Does this have any effect for not cleaning the area for hours?
