Will Ovarian Cyst Reduce The Chances Of Getting Pregnant?

I have a 5.3cm cyst on my right ovary. I'm married for 2 years with no children and have been advised by the doc to remove the cyst. They might remove my ovary as well if complications arises. I am concerned that this will reduce my chances of getting pregnant. Are there any other alternatives?

Hello dear,i understand your concern.In my opinion there are two types of ovarian cysts called simple and complex. So the cyst is present will be evaluated if it is simple or complex.If it is simple just cystectomy might be done.But if it is complex variety and preservation of ovary is difficult then the ovary needs to be removed.But this decision will depend on risks versus benefits.But dont worry.Even after removal of ovary the chance of pregnancy will be there as there is another ovary to release egg every month.Avoid stress.Relax.
