Will Ovulation Dates Change After Taking Tablets To Delay Period?

Hi I took some tablets to delay my period as I was on a holiday, however I have now stopped taking them and now started my period. I would like to starting trying for a baby so wondering if my ovulation dates would have changed since taking though tablets?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
As you have stopped taking the tablets now, do not worry.
They would just delay your immediate next period.
They would not affect the rest of your cycles.
Similarly they would not have any bearing on the dates of your ovulation also.
Keep a menstrual diary and use the symptoms accordingly to check ovulation.
You can also use ovulation predictor kits.
Take regular folic acid tablets
Be sexually active around the period of ovulation.
Do not worry about the tablets you took just once.
