Will Polycystic Ovaries Cause Problems In Conceiving?

Hello Dr, I have done a whole abdomen scan for gastric problem and the result seems to be fine, but the results mentioned that i have ploy-cystic ovaries. My menstruation cycle is normal and i have normal body weight. Will i have any problems for pregnancy. An advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for writing to hmc. Polycystic ovaries usually don't ovulate, anovulation is the major cause of infertiliy. As your weight is in the normal range and periods are regular you can be easily treated for the same. And since it was an incidental finding causing no symptoms you dont need to worry ,just go visit your gynec whenever your ready to get pregnant. Ovulation pills must be prescribed and had only as adviced by the obgyn.
if you experience any pain or any other usual symptoms do let your obgyn know.
