Will Presence Of Nodes After TB Affect Future Pregnancy?

helo doctor,
I'm 27 y/o female from indonesia, almost 2 years (october 2011) have TB treatment. I had it twice, first 6 years ago. and then I got TB lymph node again. there are nodes at my right neck. the nodes become smaller but they don't disappear (still there a bit). is it ok, or they should be gone(the nodes). and is it influence my pregnancy later (i'm not married yet, not pregnant yet...but later have a plan with my boyfriend). I'm concern about my baby 's health later. thank yoy :)

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the tuberculosis is treated prior to pregnancy, there is no effect on the baby. Even if one has tuberculosis while pregnant, it has no effect on the foetus. The effect is due to the drugs which is given for the treatment of tuberculosis.
I would suggest you not to worry as of now.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
