Hello and welcome,
I am Dr Madhuri a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist and will be helping you with your queries.

Please do not worry so much.
Pus cells in urine indicate an infection. Any kind of infection can lead to preterm labor pains and may disturb a pregnancy.

However urine infections are extremely common during pregnancy and can be treated easily. The good thing is that it was detected and so you may just need a few drugs to help cure it.

Please drink plenty of water as already advised by your doctor. This will help in flushing out any bacteria that may be there in the urine and also prevent new infection. Please follow this advise throught the pregnancy as it will prevent urine infections and also help in making adequate amniotic fluid [ fluid surrounding the baby or pregnancy waters] for the baby.

Early detection and treatment do not pose any risk to the baby. So there is no need to worry. Relax and all my good wishes are with you.

Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
