Will Reducing The Est Estrogen Methtest Dosage Also Reduce Acne?

hello i am 50 and had a complete hysterectomy about 5 months ago. dr put me on estestrgn methtest 1.25/2.5 and it helped greatly with hot flashes but caused acne, i asked him to reduce it and i switched to .625/1.25 just a couple weeks ago. will this reduce the acne or should i switch to something else?
