Will Reducing The Intake Of Alcohol Lower The Level Of Amylase?

Hi, My amylase level is 145 with a reference range of 28-100. Is this considered high? I am a social drinker. If I have alcohol less frequently will my levels lower or do I need to totally stop. I am 59 years old and in good health other than a hypo thyroid. I also feel fine. Thank you.

Hello,

I think you should stop drinking. This will help you to lower down to normal your amylase levels. You will have many benefits from quitting alcohol and it will help your liver function too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
