Will Residual Chest Muscle Pain Heal By Itself?

took a fall a week ago, started having upper front chest muscle pain, which hurt to touch (went away), now i have pain below that area. do i need to see a doctor or do i have to wait for it to heal. I had a hard time sleeping last night but i did not take anything.
