Will Scrotum And Penis Swelling Due Hernias Need Immediate Care?

I have swelling in my scrotam. Already had a CT scan that confirmed 2 hernias. My primary concern is that my consultation was on the 11th of sept. The Dr. Wants me to see the previous surgeon since one of my 2 hernias was operated on before. My appointment isn't. Untill 3days from ow and the swelling hs gone into my penis. It looks like a bag of fluid or air on the bottom of my penis. Should I wait to see the surgeon in 3 days or go for urgent or emergency care? Please respond soon.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.History and features more suggestive of inguinal hernia causing the above symptoms.
2.The swelling in the scrotum with base of penis is common findings seen in the hernia when there is excess of bowel passing in the the sac it extends up to base of penile shaft.
3.As a remedy you lie down more , usually the pressure reduces and the hernia reduces in size.
4.If its symptomatic with pain, then its a medical emergency, when the bowel gets strangulates its symptomatic.
5.So depending on the symptoms you have to decide weather to rush to emergency or not, pain less case you can see your doctor as scheduled. Good luck.
