Will Smoking While Taking Vyvance Cause Problems In Blood Pressure?

I just started taking vyvance and I have smoked twice as many cigarettes than usual today. I am afraid that smoking cigarettes and vyvance are a bad combination with regards to blood pressure. I feel like I need to smoke a joint to get to sleep. I rarely smoke marijuana and I don't drink any alcohol.

Dear patient,

Indeed, smoking can raise blood pressure, and its the most harmful thing that you can do for your health. There is not a single organ that escapes the damaging whip of tobacco. I encourage you to refrain from smoking as you are taking a prescription medication; active smokers tend to metabolize medications faster, and thus your medication dose may be less effective.

many reasons not to smoke tobacco, not mentioning the financial burden.

Hope that helps, wish you the best,
