Will Spotting During Pregnancy Cause Any Harm To The Baby?

Helo! doctor my last period was on 20th oct,got married on nov 7th.i dint get periods on nov 20th were i suppose to get.on nov 30th i tuk urine test by pregcolor strip got color indication very light on both sides of the strip,wen i consulted doctor they said its negative and i was casual after days,i started practising dance for my office trip.i got period spotting on 2nd dec only once after days i dint get proper periods.again on 12th dec got spotting so consulted doctor she suggested me for urine test,it was positive.i was shocked.doctor advised me to intake MCBM 69 and susten.is my babies growth will be normal,very much afraid.kindly suggest me something to recover...

Thanks for writing in.

About 10 to 15 percent of women reporting some bleeding during the first sixteen weeks of pregnancy and you might be one among them. There is no reason to worry as your doctor has given medications which you have taken. This is due to slight imbalance in hormones during the initial stages of pregnancy and taking medications helps in maintaining the balance and allowing the pregnancy to progress normally. Studies have shown that bleeding during the first 8 weeks of naturally‐conceived pregnancies seems to occur without clear physiologic cause. Most pregnancies with very early bleeding proceeded to a normal delivery and a healthy live birth.

You can get an ultrasound scan done right now to confirm that the fetus growth is normal and as per your dates.
