In the same situation, I would have given only once a day tablet, and then maybe stepped it up from there. I think they are trying to find out if the dose of the diabetes medicine needs to continue. I would say that once you stop the medicine, the likelihood is that the sugars are going to rise again Outside of that, there is less likelihood of any other problem.
