Will Stroke Accelerate Alzheimer?

Hello! Thanks for taking my question. My 86 year old dad just had a mild stroke last week. Third one in 5 years. He is in the mid Alzheimer's stage, and I'm wondering if the strokes accelerate the Alzheimer's? Hope you understand the question :) Wanda
