Will Surgery Relieve The Pain From Thornwaldt Cyst?

Hello! For 13 years now I have had continuous pain in my neck and head. I was just diagnosed with a thornwaldt cyst with a brain MRI. I have all the symptoms and more associated with this cyst. I was wondering if removal would relieve my pain and symptoms? And if this cyst would rupture, what could happen to my brain?
