Will Taking Augmentin 875 Effective For Staph Infection?

Hi my mom has been being treated for venus stacis ulcers on her leg and the wound center she has been going to for treatment recently took a culture and sent it to the infectious disease specialist for an opinion. . .long story short. . .she has a staff infection and has been prescribed Augmentin 875. . .in your opinion will this help. . .she has also been treated with Dakins solution. . .is this in your opinion. . .the best route to take. . .?

Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.

Your mother is diagnosed as venous stasis ulcer. For this, augmentin is a very good antibiotic drug . It gives a good antibacterial coverage.

Dakins solution is also an antiseptic solution containing sodium hypochlorite.

You can use it for cleaning and washing ulcers.

Your mother has been given the correct treatment.
