Will Taking Norlut- N Affect Pregnancy?

Hi my wedding is on Jan 20th . Today I started taking Norlut-N. My doctor said I can have intercourse on 20th but I ll take tablets till 20th. But if I get pregnant will it be safe for the growth of my baby? Please reply soon doctor because it s urgent

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Norlut-N contain hormone norethesterone.
Yes it has been reported that it can causes fetal malformation and fetal defects.
But chance is very less.

So if you will be pregnant, it require special care.
Do regular USG follow up for the fetus progress and to find out the defects in first timester only.
Regular ante natal check up and
folic acid can be given.
