Will Taking Wellbutrin, As Prescribed By A Doctor, Result In A Seizure?

I previously took Wellbutrin, probably ten years ago. There was a particular time of trama in my life, during which I know that I overdosed on Wellbutrin. I took much more than prescribed. I had an episode which was probably a seisure. Comprehensive testing was done, in hospital, which never showed confirmation of a seisure. I would like to take Wellbutrin again. If I take it as prescribed, will I be in danger of having a seisure?

Hello,

One major and important side effects of Wellbutrin is seizures. Though it's not necessary that it would cause seizures, in a person who had once seizures there is always a risk of having it again and we never advise this drug in such patients. The best plan would be not to use Wellbutrin as We have other safe option which may work as well as Wellbutrin without having the risk of seizures. There is a better alternative so why to take the risk.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
