Will Taking Antibiotics Suffice To Treat Ear Infection?

I have an ear infection and I just started the antibiotics for it this morning. My best friend and I were planning on going to Cedar Point on Saturday to ride coasters. If my ear is feeling better is it safe to ride a roller coaster even if I am still taking the medication? (Female, 21, 5'8", 160)

Hello,

Decongestant and antibiotic course should be completed first. As in cold and sinusitis like infection, Eustachian tube might get affected. Hence, it is advisable that after recovery roller coaster activity can be done.

Although, it is not strictly prohibited bur According to my opinion it's better to go for that activity after recovery from cold. Consult an otorhinolaryngologist for the examination if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
