Will Taking Magestrol Help In Increasing Appetite?

hi i am 22 years old 170 cm tall and only 42 killos .My BMI is around 16 i have poor appetite but other wise healthy. Can i take magestrol to help me gain appetite so i can put on weight. And does this medication has adverse side effect if i am not pregnant.

Magestrol is a synthetic progestin drug which is reserved as a appetite stimulant for persons with AIDS/Cancer who are having severe cachexia and anorexia , because using them in a otherwise general healthy subject is not risk free for this indication . It may cause altered hormonal profile in body with multiple disturbances like altered menstrual bleeding, altered sugar control,altered mood, increased blood clotting risk etc. hope i answered your query- any followup questions are welcome . if satisfied please rate the answer .
