Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Bistolic for 23 days . My blood pressure has been really low and I've been throwing up and dizziness and fatigue. This morning the doctor told me to stop taking it. Heres the question. The doctor had prescribed 2.5 mg. Tonight I was looking at my bottle and the druggist gave me 10 mg . Should I stop all of a sudden or should I taper off? I have congestive heart failure and have had bypass surgery and I read that stopping suddenly could cause a heart attack.
Hello, Since you are suffering from low blood pressure with dizziness and fatigue,t would be best on your part to stop the medicine immediately. It is not going to cause any heart attack to you. However keep monitoring your blood pressure after stopping BISTOLIC. Thanks
