Will Tear Duct Surgery Affect Nasal Passage?

my son is almost 17 years old and he had tear duct surgery when he was just over 12 months old and he is experiencing tearing of the eye once again, but he also struggles sometimes cause of nasal congestion, did the tear duct surgery have an affect on his nasal passage?

the tear duct opens In the inferior meatus in the nose . if damage has been done during the surgery to the inferior turbinate then that may cause congestion and atrophic features which should be treated .
if he's tearing again , a stringing has to be done to assess the lacrimal duct system first
I would advise a nasal spray anti histamine , nasal rinse
and a diagnostic nasal endoscopy to be done
