Welcome to healthcaremagic.com.Thalassemia is not an infection to be transmitted.The mode of transfer is genetic.if you marry a lady your children(female) will be carriers of the disease but sons -there is one in four chance of getting the disease.Please get genetic testing done to assess severity of transmission.Take care.
