My husband and I are working on adoption. We were presented today with a birth mother that had been using meth during the first and second trimester but states that she has not used during the third. We are wondering what are some of the possible concerns that may be presented with this child

MA use during pregnancy is associated with shorter gestational ages and lower birth weight, especially if used continuously during pregnancy. Stopping MA use at any time during pregnancy improves birth outcomes, thus resources should be directed towards providing treatment and prenatal care.
