Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Cosmelite cream contains a steroid which should not be used for more than 6 weeks as this could lead to side effects. Generally, doctors will taper the medicine and alternately suggest a non steroid containing lightening agent.
You could stop the cream and instead use a cream containing kojic acid, arbutin, liquorice and niacinamide at bedtime. This will prevent the spots from coming back.
But more importantly, use a broad spectrum sunscreen every 4 hours to prevent the recurrence of spots.
But using cosmelite for long term is not advised.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
