Will The Fracture Be Cured If I Keep Using The Finger?

i broke my metacarpal on my left hand on my index finger about 4 week ago and its still really painfull and its in a cast. if you try to move the finger you can feel the pain in the back of my hand would it be that its still broke cause ive been working and using my fingers alot?
