Hello, Thank you for your query. Yes it is possible that your period may be delayed if the pill was taken prior to ovulation. Please wait until your period is late by two weeks. Take a pregnancy test and see your doctor with results. If negative, ovarian cysts or other hormonal causes need to be ruled out. I would recommend an ultrasound scan to check for any cysts. If present , these usually resolve themselves on their own in a couple of months. Lifestyle changes, travel, physical & emotional stress, sudden weight gain/loss can all delay periods.
