Will The Plan B Pill Work If Dissolved And Spit Out?

Hey, I would like to know what would happen if you let the Plan B pill dissolve under your tongue and spit out the dissolved pill out. Does it still mean that I can actually say that the pill went through and it worked? I really have issues with swallowing pills. Please respond back as soon as possible. I need answers!!!

Hello,
Since you have not swallowed but spat out the pill, the efficacy is reduced and protection is less. You should at least have let the whole pill dissolve in your mouth so that the entire dosage is received. This means that you have risk of conception if you happen to be in your fertile period. If you happen to be within the stipulated period after intercourse, please go for another pill or get an IUD. Please see a specialist if you miss your next period by more than a week. Take care.
