Will The Use Of Monistat Helps In Reducing The Itching And Burning In My Genital Area?
I have genital herpes and im taking valtrex and azo for urinating pain. My question is... Will monistat make the itching and buring go away in my genital area? I know it wont make the sores go away, but will it help with the pain of itching and buring?
We have to know the reason for the itching and burning of your genitals. The nature of burning (Whether it is during after urination or persists throughout) and itching. Investigations from urine and discharge (if any) will also be helpful to fix the cause of itching and burning. Herpes also precedes with itching and burning, Chlamydia would likely have some burning during urination etc. Monistat will be useful only in case of yeast infection. Not for other infections. So consult your Dermatologist and get his/her guidance in this regards. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
