Will Toe Nail Coming Away From Cuticle Grow Again In Diabetic Patient?

I HAVE TYPE 2 DIABETES 7 YRS NOW,I RECENTLY NOTICED THAT MY TOENAIL a(Bigtoe) IS COMING AWAY FROM THE CUTICLE AT THE BASE OF THE NAIL. I WAS TREATED FOR NAIL FUNGUS 2 YRAGO, SAME NAIL, IT SCARES ME THA IT WILL COME ALL THE WAY OFF....IF SO,WILL IT GROW BACK, OR ISTHIS MORE SERIOUS THAN I REALIZE? PLEASE HELP, THANK YOU,KIM

as you are diabetic, fungal infection of nails are most common we call it as Onychomycosis, if u want to confirm it give your nail clipping for fungal culture, and the whole nail can be removed but because u r diabetic there is a risk of infection in doing Any procedure , control your blood sugar and u can try tab Terbinafine 250 mg od dose for 4 -6 weeks check your liver function tests before taking tab if it's normal then u can try and topical amorolfine nail lacquer 5%
