Will Tylenol3 Reduce The Earache And A Swollen Lymph Node?

I had an affected tooth under a bridge that was extracted yesterday. Two days before I started with an earache and a swollen lymph node. The dentist gave me an antibiotic and tylenol3 and said the swelling should go away in a few days What do you think?

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us,
I would like to inform you that from the information that you have provided here states that swollen lymph nodes and pain was from an infected tooth which is now pulled out by your dentist.
As the causative factor is now no longer present therefore a course of antibiotics for a week and tylenol 3 if you have pain will resolve all the symptoms.
I will advise you to continue with your dentists prescription and see him after a week.
Also you can perform warm saline rinses , or apply ice packs to reduce swelling.
I hope i answered your query.
I wish you good health.
Thank you
Take care

Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
Actually toothache is the most severe and radiating pain in nature means the pain radiates to the same side including ear and forehead, but sometimes for earache Temporomandibular joint ( joint of the jaw ) of also responsible.
Better that first you should start with the medications which the dentist has prescribed you. if it does not relieves within 1 week then you have to start with muscle relaxants or visit an ENT specialist.
Thank you
Hope it will help you.
