Will Using Baking Soda And Lemon Treat Darkened Skin Due To Waxing?

Hi Dr. I went to a saloon last week to have underarm waxing..I ve noticed that my underarm have a dark shadow from waxing...my underarm is lighter naturally..now it s dark and have shadow from waxing...please help me...do the dark shadow gonna fade using baking soda and lemon? For how many weeks or months gonna be lighter again my underarm.??? Any suggestions to lessen the brown shadow from waxin..

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I think the wax that was used for hair removal has burnt your underarm skin, which is therefore looking darker.
Baking soda and lemon light cause irritation and I would suggest you to not even try it.
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily to the underarm skin.
This should make it fine and I think it should resolve in a few days (may be 7-10 days).
