Will Vasovagal Attacks Lead To Passing Out?

A doctor thinks that "spells" i've been having for several years may be Vasovagal attacks...However, although I've passed out at times in my life because of certain things, usually pain related....These "spells" happen frequently and do NOT cause me to actually pass out, just feel like I will....Most I've read say Vasovagal attacks do lead to passing out?
